Aldershot is the historic village along Plains Road in the west end of Burlington. It features houses, condos and townhouses some built in the 60s and 70s and some built in the past 10 years. Today, Plains Road in Aldershot is budding through the revitalization of retail spaces, mixed-use development and attractive new housing.

The new interchange at Hwy 6 and York Road has created an efficient gateway to Aldershot and the additional ramps providing access to Hwy 403 at Waterdown Road will conveniently accommodate tourists and residents in the area.
Some of the significant local places are the Aldershot High
School, Aldershot Community Pool managed by City of Burlington, the Aldershot VIA Rail train station including the GO Station - making it easy to travel to Toronto and other parts of the GTA. Also in the heart of the neighborhood are Royal Botanical Gardens and LaSalle Park and Marina.
